Thursday 27th September

It feels wintry today, thermals needed! but the fish are feeding continuously all across the lake. The lake has that still eerie winter appearance. See the video link.

Off to an excellent start here this morning, the majority of anglers have caught 2 or 3 fish within their fish half hour, all fishing emerging patterns.
No rain! is a change from the past few days, with flooding across the country. Over clouded, with a reasonable change of sun later on. So an enormous improvement.

For a slight change Ive also created a brief clip of today's conditions from a anglers point of view, see the video clips below.

Hopefully you can see the trout rising across the lake!
Its often difficult to record footage that is clear enough to see trout rising.

Top patterns of the last few days...
  1. Klinkhamers beating the daddy long legs imitations to the top over the last few days. Although he daddy patterns still the fly of the month.
  2. Daddy long legs (black or brown bodied).
  3. Black fritz
  4. Black buzzer
Tightlines,
Nathan
