Young Tom Bentham currently holds the coarse fishing record with 87 fish caught within one day, 86 roach and 1 nice sized perch. This has been held since late last year, and today has netted 12 fish within 3 hours. Below are a few photos.
Any youngsters that wish to challenge Young Tom to his current record holding, pop down with a tub of maggots a simple whip set up and give it a whirl! It excellent sport and the small lake is full of a mixture of coarse fish including bream, roach, perch, rudd and carp. The biggest carp currently stands at around 6lbs and is named "Bob". Which will be excellent on a light coarse outfit, although it isn't recommended to use a small whip if you specifically attempt to catch "Bob".
