Tuesday 31st July

Final day of July! Wave bye to our apparent summer time!
Today we have a very slight easterly breeze, around 4mph. Blowing towards the dam wall, and fish showing all across the surface this morning, One Angler having a good day to Black Gnats, with 3 fish so far.

The water temp is now ideal for trout this time of year, and they are clearly happy remaining within the top few feet for most of the day. Long leader and a team of dries seems the order of the day, with 90% of fish caught over the last week to dries and fastly stripped lures just sub-surface.

Light drizzle across the entire lake, but nothing to worry about if your water proofs are up to standard.

Considering the forecast weve been lucky upto now, very little rain and the wind is minimal easterly.

Overcast, cooler than it has been, with a slight ripple, Ideal trout fishing conditions.
Fair weather anglers get your coat on!

Tight Lines,
