Wednesday update

Its warming up! The suns out and the fish are heavily feeding just subsurface, as well as off the surface to very large black knats.
Floating line, long leader and a black knat imitation!

Fish all across the lake are slurping insects!

Get tackled up and get fishing curleys today, and make the most of this weather and the fishing!
Your first trout to the dry fly this year?

Tightlines!

  1. I fished Curleys on Wednesday amidst strong swirling winds. There were a good few fish showing and although I only managed to land one I had several plucks on buzzers. I was very impressed with the new set up and all the signs are there for Curleys to go on from strength to strength. I spent an invaluable few minutes talking to Mike Rodden about float tubing and came away with some excellent advice. Can I also mention the two baliffs I met, Nathan and Geoff. They also could not have been more hospitable and although I only get to visit Curleys two or three times a year it is always a pleasure and something to look forward to. The daily blog is fascinating and tells the story of a maturing and very welcoming fishery.
    Thanks again.
