Tuesday 17th July

The weathers changed slightly with the westerly breeze remaining, but its dropped to around 5-6mph with the occasional gust to around 10mph.
The rain is on and off, with the odd light mist shower.

All in all the conditions are ideal for abit of trout fishing!
Slight ripple, overcast and fish rising all across the lake.

Virtually all the fish that have come out so far have been to dries!
Klinkhammers, suspender buzzers also doing well.
The recent stocking has stirred up the trout and alot of which are on a feeding frenzy, taking emerging midges and the occasional sedge.

One Angler Mr John Burrow has just caught his first ever trout to a fly, which will be proudly displayed in photo form shortly. (on a more recent blog update, click here for photo).
