Stocked today

A Stocking took place today, with 200 trout, a mixture of rainbow and brown trout. Ranging in size from 21/2lb to much larger fish to 4+lb.

Member Jim McGinley netted a bow of around 21/2lb to a cats whisker, close to the surface stripped back. Within a couple of hours, before the persistant rain.
Virtually no wind, slight westerly, but with constant rain. However ideal weather for the trout!

UPDATE:
Fish moving all along the road side, near pontoon 5 & 3. After a stocking earlier they will initially move around the lake, stirring up the much larger resident fish. Keep on the move, no fish moving around your area? Move to another section of fresh water and cover that.
The rain has finally come to a halt, and the sky seems to be clearing. Check back soon for updates.

Lets hope the weather improves!

Tightlines,
Nathan
