Tuesday 14th August

Not a bad start to the morning, Young Oliver Avis currently top rod, which is no surprise!
A lot of fish showing across the lake, with some seriously aggressive swirls, possibly chasing small roach?
Which would make sense, as the fish caught up to now have been to small fish imitations, white/grey zonkers & minkies.

Slight easterly wind (towards the dam). Quite mild today, with a lot of non-biting midges and daddies making the odd appearance.

No rain as of yet and the cloud cover doesn't look too concerning currently.

As promised a Video of the current conditions to accompany the daily blogs, this will take place every day.

Early Morning upload.

Quick photo taken of one of Oliver's catch, unfortunately the dorsal fin is a little worse for wear, this usually happens when the trout are being netted and place into containers for transportation and cannot be avoided, the fins will take roughly 2weeks to heal over and become clean and sharp. Hence why the majority percentage of fish at curleys have spectacular fins, like shovels! as you will see from our daily blog photos.

In the future when we get our own keep net pens out in the middle of the lake, this wont happen, and we can rear them on ourselves and stock daily if needed.
Tightlines,
