Looking promising for today, overcast, very slightly easterly wind, creating a ripple across most of the lake.
Very mild, and a lot of fly life out and about this morning, more and more daddies making an appearance as we approach September! of course the usual suspects, midges! (the non biting kind).
Here's today's video upload, a handy little clip to give a visual side to the blogs. See the conditions not just read them. Not recorded in HD, but will be starting from Monday 20th, so the clips will be much clearer.
I would like to start today's blog by saying thanks to all the members that came to the evening session, it was thoroughly enjoyable and the food was brilliant, thanks to member Steve Moffat, (our dedicated chef).
Lamb cutlets, pitta breads, Greek style sauce, burgers and a mixture of drinks, all went down very well indeed! So thanks again guys! and roll on next months members evening!
Everyone caught fish, and top rod was Mr Paul Knight, with 6 fish to his net. Most caught to a zonker booby.
Members and bailiffs included were out float-tubing, coarse fishing and fly fishing, so a excellent night.
Again a big big thank you to Members and Mr Steve Moffat for his hard work.
[Video compilation coming soon of the members evening.]
UPDATE:
Mr Jim McGinley has already netted 2 fish to a Goldhead Black Fritz.Plenty of fish "head&tailing" on the surface, obvious feeding behaviour, so klinkhammers, buzzers will do well.
Anything to resemble a small roach/perch fry has been catching fish lately, due to the coarse species recently spawning.
Tightlines
