Sunday update part 2

This mornings breeze died down to a flat calm but the fog has persisted most of the day. When it did clear a little the fish came out to play more vigorously.

Top rods were to fairly regulars from Liverpool but novice fly fishers who had over 20 fish between them, others bagged anything form 3 to 7 fish each.

One of the main comments over the last 2 to 3 days were about the high quality and fighting quality of the fish we have. We pride ourselves in stocking some of the very best fish you can get and it's good that this policy is being recognised.

Another fairly big Lady Pike came out, so that was 2 for the day. One just over 20lbs and one at 19lbs. These have obviously been stirred by the new intake of trout.

A bit of rain around in the forecast next week but this shouldn't  have a detrimental effect on fishing, prospects are still very good for the foreseeable future.
