Fishing report Monday 7th

The high catch rate continues but the method is changing.
Now the newly stocked fish are becoming more naturalised in their new surroundings they are feeding naturally just like the older residents.  Consequently the methods of catching them is also changing to a more natural presentation.
The top rod today was Phil Rees with 8 fish all caught on a natural coloured Daiwl Bach and only about 2 foot deep.  Other fish came to the net with Buzzers and some braver anglers even tried their hand with Dries but not too successfully it has to be said.

Outlook
As the weather is forecast to get a little wetter this could spark off some buzzer hatches, if this happens the fish will gorge themselves on the chironomid and the catch rate could even increase!!

Amongst the numbers of fish being caught some of the older larger fish are also becoming more active. The average fish today was probably around 3lbs to 5lbs and with full fins they really put up a good battle. Some takes have been savage with more than one angler reporting being taken completely by surprise by the power and strength of these perfect specimens.
