Event Schedule for the open weekend

Casting clinic 10.00am till 4.00pm each day. Instructors
will be on hand to help all levels and abilities from complete beginners to
advanced casting techniques. Book at the casting clinic desk on the patio.

Help Desk The
Instructors will be on hand to answer any questions you have about fly fishing,
tactics, techniques, equipment, leaders, knots, fly selection etc.

Fly Tying
demo from 10.00am onwards each day in the
shop. Pat Stevens from Fly Tek will
show you any tying technique you want and give general advice on tying,
materials and equipment.
·
Rod Testing 10.00am till 4.00pm each day. We have a
good selection of Greys rods for anyone to play with and test – Reservoir or river
rods, pike/salt & double handed. Book
at the Casting clinic desk.

Fly Casting
demo at 1.00pm
each day on the small lake. Mike Roden
from Hardy/Greys Academy will show you a range of casts that will help you to “get
out of jail” in difficult conditions and answer any general questions you may
have about fishing or casting techniques.

Bolton Fly
Tying Club. Members of BFTC will be on hand, each day, in
the marquee to talk about club membership and club events.
·
BBQ Hopefully the weather will allow us to
run the BBQ. Sausage butties and burgers
galore! This will allow us to mix, socialise and talk “all things fishing”. The
café will be available for drinks and a greater selection of food.

Fishing
permits All permits for the weekend are half
price – all options. The fishery will be open from 7.30am on both days, permits
must be purchased in the shop prior to fishing. In the event of being
over- subscribed then it will be first come first served but permits can be pre-booked
in advance by email or phone.

Raffle Prizes
include tackle vouchers, Flies, Fishing permits, Annual Membership to BFTC. All proceeds will go to Bolton Hospice
and Derian House.

Fishing
Tackle shop The shop
will be open for the whole weekend and has a good range of rods, reels, lines
and all the accessories you need for a good day’s reservoir fly fishing.
