Mixed day weatherwise, some sun then overcast but no rain and much warmer then the last few days.
Fishing getting better with good catches being recorded albeit on fairly unusual methods.
Two members have had good success all on the top, Dave Burgess with a hand full of fish to natural sedge patterns and natural muddlers. One thing to record is that as soon as Dave did any sort of retrieve the takes dried up but if he left the fly to just swing round in the waves and breeze he got regular pulls and activity! One of the other successes was another member Mick, who had 6 fish all taking his bung!!! again static apart from the natural movement of the wind etc...
So now you know???
I was on the river today and also had a hand full of brownies and a Grayling all with Tenkara and some flies tied by me over the last few evenings - available soon at a tackle shop near you!!!
