Monday/Tuesday...

As Anglers can appreciate the weather was very poor yesterday (Monday), with consistent heavy rain throughout the day, finally stopping just before dark!, so not much to report!

The water remaining clear as the sediment has settled over night....

Much warmer today, with virtually nil wind currently, as you will be able to see from the video below.
Trout rising all across the lake, more so towards the dam wall, especially towards the outlet.
Over the last few weeks, as the weathers cooled, the fish have been behaving somewhat erratic, moving up and down the water column, not settling on their chosen depth. Plenty of fish being caught at different levels to confirm this, so vary your depth as the day goes on. Generally the fish have been within the top ten feet, and some very close in.

Tip of the Day!
When you approach a swim, or pontoon, before walking straight to the end and casting out towards the middle of the lake. Cast around the pontoon, or towards the bank. Some nice fry feeding fish being pulled out no more than 3-4ft from the bank!!!

Fry feeding time!! Get your small fish imitation patterns tied on!, the trout are simply going crazy for small roach at the minute.
Willing to chase any number of large patterns, as they are in a very aggressive mood!

Top patterns:
  1. Black fritz
  2. White fritz
  3. Natural Zonker
  4. Green & black tadpole
A two minute long video (not todays video upload) showing the trout feeding continously on emerging midges, keep your eyes peeled on the water above the angler to see the trout rising....
