Thursday 21st June

Rather different conditions that what weve been used to for the last few days!
Strong gusty winds, easterly. However some of the lake is sheltered due to the trees and embankment.
The odd small shower every now and then, overclouded.

Fish close to the surface, suprisingly in these conditions there are quite a few fish rising.

The weather is suppose to improve over Friday, Saturday and Sunday. With highs of 16degrees on saturday, so hopefully the nice weather will return and the rain and strong winds fade away towards this evening.

UPDATE:
The wind has died completely down, a virtually flat calm across the lake and midges hatching in their hundreds! & the occasional mayfly. Pictures of these mayflies will  be uploaded to the blog early saturday morning.
Fish rising all over the lake, taking advantage of the easy pickings available at this time of day, late evening can be a very productive time to fish Curleys.
With the weather cooling and hatches taking place all over, its prime dry fly or buzzer fishing.
 Tight Lines,
Nathan
