Friday 11th October

Blustery day today but it's not putting the fish off or down.
Jim McGinley has had 4 fish this morning up to now retrieving a blob through the surface, creating a wake and waiting for the fish to chase and take.
It's not too often that this tactic works but when it does it is really good fun.

The Muddler is a very typical fly pattern to use for this tactic, with it's deer hair head it will never sink or need gink - a perfect fly for surface lure fishing.

Prospects for the weekend at more or less the same so should be ok.
