A very warm muggy sort of day but at least there is some cloud cover from the bright sunlight.
Fish are obviously still very deep and inactive - sinking lines and a lot of patience required.
A lot of "coarse" species being caught at the moment - these react to warm water very different from any "salmonids" and almost come up to sunbathe.
Still it gives us a way of adding to our "different species" count with fly fishing. Over the years I have caught almost every species of coarse fish some targeted and some unintentionally!
The one species I haven't caught on the fly is a barbel - but there's still time!
