Sunday 8th Sept

Not a bad day, started off with a blue sky and sunshine now has turned overcast with a little breeze a threat of showers but not materialised as yet and will probably hold off.
Some fish moving about at the surface but a day of mixed tactics. Everybody is catching fish some with 4's and 5's but some with a floater and others with a slow intermediate. Either approach seems to be working well.

Advance notice

4th & 5th October

Curley's coarse fish-a thon only £5.00 per rod

For the first time in 7 years we are going to allow coarse fishing on the large trout lake for these 2 days only and strictly monitored. Detailed rules available in the tackle shop. I stress that this is for coarse fishing only and not bait fishing for trout!!!
The objective is to reduce the numbers of coarse species in the large lake and stock the small coarse lake with them.
So if you want to have a bit of fun and a play with maggots then you know where to come.
It should be interesting and I estimate some very large bags of fish.

There will still be lots of room to fly fishing on these days as the coarse fishing will be limited to certain areas of the lake.

Please spread the word!
